Food Bank Sunday – Monthly: Alameda Food Bank: Nonperishable food items or money donations on every first (1st) Sunday. Food donations are also always accepted at any time during the month at Immanuel. Donations may be placed either in the basket at the foot of the altar, or in the baskets in the Narthex.
Earth Day Worship – April: on April 22nd. Bring your garden tools, potting soil, seeds, Barnyard banks, etc. to be blessed during worship as we help take care of our world. Remember recycling bottles and cans also.
Relay for Life – June: This years relay will be on June 9th at Encinal High School. Join the Immanuel team fight cancer by walking, donating to support walkers, sponsoring lumineria, help with our table, etc.
Crop Walk – June or July: on June 30th at Washington Park. Walk to help raise money to feed the hyngry in Alameda and the United States.
CRECE – June-July: Collecting medical and school supplies and clothes for El Salvador. Cash donations are also needed to transport these supplies. July: Continue CRECE collection of items and money for shipment generally in August.
Equip 4 Success – July and August: an Alameda community program to collect school supplies for needy children in Alameda so they can be prepared to learn.
